497 Transjakarta Fleet Have TOB System

The city-owned bus operator PT Transjakarta has attached a Tap On Bus (TOB) system on 497 fleets of Royal Trans and Low Entry, which will be a comprehensive solution for the capital's transportation system that is efficient, effective and brings benefits to the public transport users.

According to Agung Wicaksono, President Director of PT Transjakarta, it aims to develop an independent culture in transportation and ensure accurate income such as transportation in developed cities in the world.

"In the future, its installation will keep being intensified in line with additional fleets that is by coordinating the operators. Thus far, we already did that in all Scania and Mercedes Benz brand buses," he told, Wednesday (12/11).

The next step is socialization related to TOB installation, which will be done by online and offline. When it goes on, Transjakarta will still prepare a number of EDC machines and ripped-up tickets as a backup for a while, until all buses are installed with electronic payment machines.

"This is one of our ways to increase reliability in terms of payment. "By so, Transjakarta also encourages customers to cultivate independently in transportation," he stated.
